Planet Net builds in redundancy to ensure that data is always accessible. This includes Cisco routers, Layer 2 and 3 switches, Interland's power system generator in addition to Interland's regular grid electrical power, and Interland's backbone. Each server is protected by Interland's fire suppression system and multiple air conditioning systems (HVAC: Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning). In addition, Interland keeps in stock a supply of drives, network cards, processors, motherboards and every other piece of equipment that has even a remote chance of failure. They also use a multiple-SCSI backup cluster system for data storage and recovery.
